Cast of Greetings

GREETINGS!

Community Editor, The Observer

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, April 26, 2002 - The final play of the current season (2001-2002) at the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach opens at 8 a.m. this evening.

This heart-warming comedy takes a look at the Gorski family. Andy Gorski, played by Jerry Thomas, has a sweet Catholic mother, a sour Catholic father and a severely retarded younger brother.

Don Campbell plays Phil Gorski, the sour father, Pauline Rodick plays his sweet wife, Emily, and Spencer Meehl plays the retarded brother, Mickey.

When Andy brings home Randi Stein, his Jewish atheist fiancé, played by Valerie Goodfellow, to meet the folks on Christmas Eve, his worst fears about family blow-ups are realized.

But it is right in the middle of the explosion that Mickey, whose entire vocabulary thus far has been Oh, Boy and Wow, suddenly says Greetings! and initiates a wild and hilarious exploration into the nature of earthly reality. Mickey has loaned his body to an ancient, wise and witty spirit (Lucius) who is set upon healing the family.

This is a wonderful play about love, family, faith, and miracles. Nancy McCormick is the director and Estie Keyes is stage manager.

Production Coordinator is Jane Taylor. Bill Roehrborn is Technical Director and Mary Monnier is Set Decorator.

Camille Dickinson is in charge of props, Rose Dingas is handling costumes, and Debbi Zill does lights and sound.
