A musical over the Thanksgiving Holiday
Always... Patsy Cline
Auditions: To Be Announced
Performances: Nov. 19, 20, 21, 26, 27,
& 28
Artistic Director: Ted Pack
Cast: 2W - Patsy Cline and Louise Seger
"Always ... Patsy Cline"
is based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with a Houston
housewife and avid fan, Louise Seger. They met before a show in
1961 and began a friendship that lasted until Cline's untimely death
at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show takes its name from
Patsy's sign off on her letters to Louise. Each correspondence between
them ended the same way: "Always ... Patsy Cline."
The show features more than 20 of Cline's
most memorable numbers including "I Fall to Pieces,"
"Crazy," "Anytime," Walkin' After Midnight,
and "Sweet Dreams," to name a few. This story
on the live stage is a musical tribute
to one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed female
vocalists of the 20th century.
Auditions are open
to the public, and stage experience is not necessary. Readings will
be from the script and a copy is available at the reference desk
at the New Smyrna Beach library. For add'l information contact the
LT office at 386-423-1246 or e-mail info@NsbPlayers.org.
